27Jun-title1-program1As part of the hands-on S.T.E.M. curriculum, 3rd graders in the Title I Summer Enrichment Program learned all about solids and liquids.  They tested the viscosity of liquids by creating "blow art" masterpieces! 27Jun-title1-program25th graders in the Title I Summer Enrichment Program became "electrical engineers" as they learned all about electric currents through the hands-on, multisensory S.T.E.M. curriculum.  The students are testing different ways circuits can be created in order to make light bulbs work.

Congratulations to Vero Beach High School Senior, Ryan Hiser, who was selected as a member of Team USA for the sport of Ultimate Frisbee and is the only team member from Florida. Hiser and the members of Team USA will travel to Lecco to compete in The World Junior Ultimate Championships July 20-26. Forty teams and approximately 1,000 athletes will make the trip to the shores to Lake Como for this year’s WJUC. Team USA is looking to win its 6th straight gold medal in this event. >> Read More in the Press Release

Runner’s Depot presented a check to Rosewood Magnet for their Mileage Club. Runner’s Depot rewards outstanding organizations who are dedicated to helping the community lead a healthy lifestyle.

Runner’s Depot presented Rosewood Magnet’s Liam Keeley with a pair of running shoes for running the highest mileage the Mileage Club. Liam ran a total of 33 miles during the school year.

Congratulations to Gifford Middle School students who recently competed in the National Academic Games in Knoxville, TN.  Results:  Harrison Dunlap: Elem. Equations individual tied 1st place; Max Tardif and Harrison Dunlap Division team Elem equations 1st place and Div. team Elem Ling 6th place.  Cody Lanier: Middle World Events overall team 6th place, Middle Ling Div Team 4th place, Middle Equations Div Team 6th place.
