Vero Beach, FL, July 19, 2021–The School District of Indian River County (SDIRC) Office of Curriculum and Instruction presented Reignite the Lite 2021 at Storm Grove Middle School beginning today, July 19th through July 21st. Reignite the Lite will provide principals, assistant principals, and district administrators the opportunity to focus on the school improvement process through collaborative planning, data dives, and various breakout sessions. Each school will be represented with a team of leaders dedicated to “Leading Innovation & Transformation in Education”.

This morning, ReIgnite the Lite opened with high energy, including an encouraging message from Dr. Moore and team building challenges for all schools.

Superintendent of Schools, Dr. David K. Moore, stated, “We are excited to welcome back and gather our district leadership for three days of powerful and impactful professional development. ReIgnite offers an opportunity for leaders to collaborate and plan for a successful 2021-2022 school year and ensure a transformation in education that will inspire and empower ALL students.”

SDIRC Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction, Richard Myhre, added, “Every successful organization is committed to continuously improving themselves. ReIgnite offers our instructional leaders the time necessary to develop a successful plan to implement within their schools next year. In essence, to be ‘Best by Kids’ you must be better than you were last year.”
