SDIRC Announces Positive COVID-19 Cases 11-3

Vero Beach, FL, November 3, 2020– Today, our school district received information confirming a total of 6 positive COVID-19 cases in the locations listed below. Following case investigations and contact tracing by the Department of Health, the information below includes the number of students and staff members identified as meeting close contact criteria with the individuals who tested positive. Those identified are required to quarantine, and monitor for symptoms, prior to returning to campus. All families of students required to quarantine on each campus have been notified by district officials. All school families and staff members of the campuses and departments listed below have been notified of the positive case in their location by School Messenger call. Custodial services are disinfecting and sanitizing all areas of each location to ensure a safe and healthy environment for the return of students and staff members, Wednesday, November 4th.

Sebastian River High School:
Positive Case: 1 student
Quarantine: 7 students

Non-School-Based District Staff:
Positive Case: 1 staff member
Quarantine: 3 staff members

Storm Grove Middle School:
Positive Case: 1 student
Quarantine: 1 student

Freshman Learning Center:
Positive Case: 1 student
Quarantine: 14 students

Vero Beach High School (main):
Positive Case: 1 student
Quarantine: 10 students

Osceola Magnet School:
Positive Case: 1 staff member
