Today, our school district received information confirming that two students at Vero Beach Elementary School tested positive for COVID-19. The Department of Health completed a case investigation and contact tracing that identified nineteen students as meeting close contact criteria with the students who tested positive. These nineteen students will be required to quarantine, and monitor for symptoms, prior to returning to campus. The families of the nineteen students required to quarantine have been contacted and notified of this information by individual phone calls from district officials. All Vero Beach Elementary School families and staff members were notified by School Messenger call confirming the positive cases on campus, the number of individuals required to quarantine, and that the families of students required to quarantine had been notified.
